Visit
People of all ages will enjoy a visit to the Carousel Museum
building. Tour on your own or walk through with a tour guide
who will share information with you about the art and history
of the carousel, the Museum of Fire History and the exhibitions
in our changing gallery.
Group
Tours
The Museum specializes in group and school tours of the
Museum. You are invited to bring your group to the Carousel
Museum for a hands-on experience that is unique, educational
and entertaining. Or, take a field trip to the Bushnell
Park Carousel and enjoy our Spin and Learn "edutaining"
program. A mini-presentation about the art and history of
the carousel that whets your appetite for a spin. Call us
to book your tour at 860 585-5411.
Tours
and Crafts
In addition to the tour, you may request to add a craft
session for the children. They will create a carousel-related
creation of their own that they can take home! Call us to
book your tour and craft at 860 585-5411.
Tours For Tots
A special, age appropriate tour of the Museum will be provided
along with a carousel craft and rides on the tots carousel.

We would like to reach out and bring a small part of the
carousel to your class or group. Our staff will present
a one-hour program with examples of carousel carving and
slides. Many schools, clubs, and senior groups have enjoyed
this program. Call us to book your outreach program at 860
585-5411.

Youth
Group Sleepovers
This overnight program allows your youth group to sleep
over in the Museum. There is a wonderful educational menu
for you to select the evening program. There is a minimum
of 50 children. We have a composite night each month where
we put your smaller group together with other smaller groups
to make up the minimum number. Ask us about our special
Stay and Play program. Instead of going home the next morning,
the group goes on to Lake Compounce Theme Park for a day
of frolic and fun. Call us to receive a brochure or to book
your sleepover program at 860 585-5411.
